The 4th of August, a Saturday, started early (midnight so to speak), as most of us either continued their stay at the rooftop bar or went to some bar or club. Since this Saturday was the last day in Shanghai, we had to check out at 12:00.
For some, the combination of going out and the limited time in the morning proved to be a challenge. Nevertheless did Raymond, one of our supervisors of the last week, get quite some audience at his departure, just after the breakfast ended. He mentioned that it was a great experience. With a warming group hug Raymond said farewell.
Nothing was scheduled in the afternoon, so the group dispersed through Shanghai. Some went to explore the Old Town and the adjacent, beautiful park. Others decided for something more modern and took a maglev (magnetic levitated) train ride up and down the airport. With a speed of more than 300km/h they rushed to the airport. Another group did a dive in the swimming pool of the hotel and relaxed in the spa, recovering from the night before. Eventually some had a late lunch/early dinner.
Later at half past 4, we had to get the taxis to drive to the railway station for our train to Shenzen. Before that however, Michel had a chance to say goodbye, also he got a group hug. He said that he got about 4 caches with geo-caching. After a certain object in the lobby broke, we got in the taxis.
We were on time at the railway station, so there was some time for dinner and leisure, such a card games and meeuwballen. The boarding went smoothly and within matter of minutes we divided ourselves in the fixed cabin order. The rest of the evening was spent on some chilling and getting in time in our beds (which were quite hard), as we would arrive at 6:40.
